Prof. Dr. Michaela Brohm-Badry – President and Scientific Lead

Prof. Dr. Michaela Brohm-Badry is a neuroscientist, author and internationally sought-after keynote speaker. She is a professor of learning research at the University of Trier and has been Dean of the Department of Education, Philosophy and Psychology for many years.

Her path led her from studying musicology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) to studying neuroscience for teaching and learning research in Sydney, Australia, to training in positive psychology in New York – an interdisciplinary combination that today shapes her unmistakable profile.

Brohm-Badry was President of the German Society for Positive Psychological Research (DGPPF), is a blogger for Spektrum der Wissenschaft and a columnist for WirtschaftsWoche. For the European Commission, she was a member of the EU Expert Commission in Seville for the creation of the European Key Competence Framework (LifeComp).

Now she has initiated the European Forum for Positive Neuroscience (EUPONS) / European Forum for Positive Neuroscience and, as project leader, is shaping the first European platform that brings together science, practice and politics on questions of motivation, learning and flourishing in a neuropsychological context.

ARD describes her as “one of the best-known German motivational researchers, whose textbooks set new standards”. With her publications, media contributions and lectures, she inspires a broad audience in science, business and society.
